Newport Girls Select Basketball's annual Cold Turkey Tournament is on the Friday-Sunday after Thanksgiving. We are looking forward to all the fun and competition from around the region! It is a youth girls tournament and is an official qualifier for the 2025 Washington Middle School Basketball Championship. This longstanding tournament is also a great primer before league competition begins in December.
Games to be held on:
- Friday November 29th (starting at noon)
- Saturday November 30th (all day)
- Sunday December 1st (ending by 6pm)
Each grade (4th -8th) will have High School Feeder and Open teams. Based on numbers from previous years, we will have multiple feeder divisions per grade and will split teams up according to skill level. Tournament directors have final say in regards to divisions. Sign up early so we know that we have enough for each division. There is a 4-game guarantee. Gym locations are all close to Newport High School in Bellevue, WA.
Teams who finish 1st or 2nd in each division, grades 4th-8th, will qualify for the 2025 Washington Middle School Basketball Championship.
