Newport Girls Select Basketball's annual Cold Turkey Tournament is on the Friday-Sunday after Thanksgiving. In partnership with Liberty Select Basketball, we are looking forward to all the fun and competition from around the region! It is a youth girls tournament and is an official qualifier for the 2023 Washington Middle School Basketball Championship. This longstanding tournament is also a great primer before league competition begins in December.
Games to be held on:
- Friday November 25th (starting at noon)
- Saturday November 26th (all day)
- Sunday November 27th (ending by 6pm).
Each grade (4th -8th) will have Silver and Gold divisions as well as an Elite/Open Division. There is a 4-game guarantee. Gym locations are all within the Bellevue area.
Teams who finish 1st or 2nd in each division, grades 4th-8th, will qualify for the 2023 Washington Middle School Basketball Championship.
This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S.,lnc. All participants must have a current AAU membership. AAU membership may not be included as part of the entry fee to the event. AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the competition begins. BE PREPARED! Adult and Non Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at event. Please allow at least 10 days for membership to be processed. Participants are encouraged to visit the AAU website www.aausports.org to obtain their membership.

The cost per team is $350 per team.
$325/team for programs that register 3 or more teams.
